Mobile phone video footage LIVE remixed

In the last two AV performances I used mobile phone video footage for the first time in a live AV remix. Joining audio-visual forces with sonic artist Dithernoise (Simon Longo), we presented a live experimental AV performance at the (re)Actor conference and a collaborative performance based installation at The Foundry. At the (re)Actor conference I used two computers to work simultaneously with three screens and live video input. At The Foundry I further experimented with live video input to explore the audiences’ reaction to their interaction with the performance. Concluding, the mobile phone video footage synced smoothly into the live remix and the particular look of the mobile video material encouraged me to use only mobile phone video for the next performances and explore the possibilities of live mobile phone video input.
